Supporting Employees with Financial Health
November 9th, 12-1pm UK time, Minds@Work virtual community
Peter Komolafe was once homeless. Years later, he took his seat at the boardroom table in Canary Wharf, as a successful finance executive for a Fortune 100 company. Today you will see him on Channel 4, Lorraine on ITV and Steph's Packed Lunch, guiding audiences through the tough financial times we all have ahead.
📣 On 9 November from 12-1pm, you can meet Peter at a free, virtual Minds@Work event where he’ll be talking about how organizations can better support their people with financial health.
💡 Research shows that people with poor financial wellbeing or financial worries are 4.1 times more likely to suffer from anxiety and nearly 5 times more likely to be going through depression. A recent survey by Close Brothers also confirmed that:
94% of UK employees suffer from money worries.
77% say that money worries impact them at work.
40% worry about their finances always or often.
💡 Whilst there has been a very clear focus on mental health in the workplace, financial wellbeing isn’t high up on corporate agendas. This is despite the fact that employees with money worries are 1.5 times more likely to be seeking new employment, and the estimated cost of poor financial wellbeing at work is £1.5bn a year.
What difference would it make to your employees to have an open conversation and tangible support around financial wellbeing?
📣 Join us on November 9th, 12-1pm UK time, where Peter will talk about:
Equipping employees with the tools they need to plan for the future.
Providing access to financial education to your employees.
Why a financial wellbeing strategy should run alongside your mental health program.
